Based in the beautiful market town of Steyning, Kates Cookhouse is about good honest food. Nothing complicated, just great local ingredients and taking advantage of what the seasons have to offer. Making a variety of both savoury and sweet goods that include: pates and terrines, sausage rolls and pies, fruit compotes and sweet treats.

Any meat used is both local and free range. I also seek to use where possible, organic and/or freetrade goods. There are no additives or preservatives in my cooking and all eggs are supplied courtesy of The Girls (Mrs Jefferson, Gertie, Mildred and Racquel).

The range is constantly evolving  as new ideas are tried, different flavours discovered and ingredients become available. All this based on a belief that great tasting food should be the norm and not the exception.
